GYROTONIC® exercise is an original and unique movement method that addresses the entire person, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength, and movement efficiency. The Gyrotonic method is practiced in group or private classes under the instruction of a qualified Gyrotonic Trainer. With Gyrotonic exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility. Specialized machines lend support and resistance to the body, informing and enhancing the exercises in different planes.

GYROKINESIS® is the practice of Gyrotonic without the equipment. A Gyrokinesis class is typically taught in groups, in various positions: sitting on a stool or chair, on the floor, and standing. As in Gyrotonic, the movements flow with breath and rhythm using breath, emphasizing spinal and pelvic articulations, but without added weight.
